Young developers and mid-career professionals regularly ask us how they can be more involved in the world of accessibility. We always tell them to consider contributing to open source assistive technology projects. In the past, we have recommended individual projects based on a person’s skillsets and interests. Now we are compiling a curated list of the projects we’ve recommended most often.

This list will contain a number of open source projects which are especially welcoming to onboarding new developers. Stay tuned for more information.

The #a11yDevNeeded list is coming soon in Spring 2017.
